Ottawa & Gatineau Weed Delivery Times by Neighbourhood (Fall 2026)
Every Hydro Green Shop order leaves from the same place: our dispatch base at 2164 Montréal Rd in Ottawa’s east end. That one fact explains most of the Ottawa weed delivery times on this page. Vanier, Lowertown and the ByWard Market are a short drive from the base, while Kanata, Stittsville, Manotick, Greely and Aylmer sit at the far end of the run. Across the city, most deliveries arrive in 30 to 90 minutes.
Below you’ll find every neighbourhood we cover in one table, with the typical window our drivers see there this fall, followed by what pushes an order toward the short or long end and a few ways to get yours sooner. The Short Answer
For most addresses, expect your order 30 to 90 minutes after we confirm it by text. The downtown core and the east end are usually at the quick end. The west end, the rural south and the outer Gatineau sectors are at the long end. The basics are the same everywhere:
- Hours: 8 AM to 10 PM (last orders 9 PM), seven days a week. Last orders at 9 PM.
- Minimum order: $60. Free delivery on orders over $100, a flat $10 fee under $100.
- Payment: Interac e-Transfer, cash on delivery or Bitcoin.
- Age: 19+ in Ontario and 21+ in Québec, with photo ID checked at the door.

A quick way to read the table: the downtown core, Vanier, Gloucester, Orléans, Billings Bridge and most of South Ottawa tend to land within about an hour. Once a driver has to cross to the far west end, head south past Hunt Club, or go over a bridge to Aylmer or Buckingham, the top of the range stretches toward 80 or 90 minutes. Why Delivery Times Vary
Two orders placed at the same minute can arrive 40 minutes apart. Here’s what’s behind that.
Distance from our east-end base
Our drivers start on Montréal Road near Blair, so the east end gets a head start. Beacon Hill and Vanier are a few kilometres away, and Lowertown isn’t much farther. Orléans is a straight run out the 174. Kanata and Stittsville, on the other hand, mean crossing the whole city on the Queensway, and Manotick and Greely mean heading well south on roads that get quieter and longer past the suburbs. Distance is the single biggest factor in your window.
The bridges to Gatineau
Gatineau orders all funnel through a handful of interprovincial bridges. Hull is right at the Québec end of those bridges, which is why it often sees 30 to 60 minutes. The Plateau and the Gatineau sector add a short hop once the driver is across. Aylmer is our longest westbound run, and Masson-Angers and Buckingham are a long drive east along Autoroute 50, so all three sit in the 60 to 90 minute range. A slow bridge adds time to every Québec delivery behind it.
Rush hour, roughly 4 to 6 PM
Weekday rush hour is the most predictable slowdown we deal with. Between about 4 and 6 PM, the Queensway, the 174, Hunt Club Road and the bridges all back up, and a trip that takes 30 minutes at 2 PM can take 50. West-end and Gatineau orders feel it the most, since those drivers spend the longest on the busiest roads.
Weather and snow
Fall is usually easy driving, but the first real snowfall in Ottawa tends to arrive before most people have their winter tires on. On storm days and freezing-rain nights, our drivers slow down and orders drift toward the end of the window. We’d rather be ten minutes late than put a driver in the ditch.
Condo buzzers, concierge desks and ID checks
The last 50 metres can take longer than the last five kilometres. Downtown towers, Golden Triangle condos and the big buildings along Riverside Drive and near Bayshore often have locked lobbies, buzzers that don’t list unit numbers, or concierge desks that won’t accept deliveries. Because the driver has to check ID in person, they can’t leave your order at the front desk. A missing buzzer code can easily add five to ten minutes.
Events and busy evenings
Game nights at Lansdowne slow down Bank Street through the Glebe, events at the Canadian Tire Centre clog Palladium Drive and the west end of the Queensway, and big weekends downtown close streets around the Market. Evenings and weekends are also simply busier for us than weekday mornings, so there are more orders on the road at once.
How to Get Your Order Faster
None of these tricks involve anyone driving faster. They just remove the small delays that add up.
- Order outside rush hour when you can. If you’re in Kanata, Barrhaven or Aylmer, an order at 3 PM usually beats one at 5 PM.
- Give us the full address the first time: unit number, buzzer code, and the entrance you’d like the driver to use.
- If your building has a concierge, tell us whether you’ll come down to the lobby. The driver can’t hand the order to building staff.
- Have your photo ID in your hand when the driver texts that they’re close.
- Know how you’re paying before you order, whether that’s Interac e-Transfer, cash or Bitcoin, so the hand-off takes one minute, not five.
- Keep your phone on and the ringer up. If a driver can’t reach you at the door, your order waits while they try.
- Stock up in one order instead of two. It won’t make the driver arrive sooner, but orders over $100 ship free, and you won’t be waiting twice.
The Ordering Cut-Off: Last Orders at 9 PM
We deliver from 8 AM to 10 PM (last orders 9 PM), and the last orders we take are at 9 PM. That hour gives drivers time to reach the whole zone before closing. If you’re downtown or in Vanier, a 9 PM order is usually no problem. If you’re in Kanata, Stittsville, Manotick, Greely, Rockland, Aylmer or Buckingham, where windows can run up to 90 minutes, place your order well before 9 PM. When in doubt, text us around 8 PM and we’ll tell you honestly whether the last run can make it to your door.
Gatineau and Bridge Notes
Delivery to the Québec side works the same way as in Ottawa, with a few differences worth knowing:
- The legal age in Québec is 21, not 19. The driver checks photo ID at the door, and orders for anyone under 21 can’t be handed over.
- Hull is usually the quickest Québec run. Aylmer, Masson-Angers and Buckingham are at the long end, so avoid the 4 to 6 PM bridge rush if you can.
- Chelsea and Cantley are outside our regular zone. Text your address to 613-614-2889 before you order and we’ll confirm case by case.
- Pricing doesn’t change across the river: a $60 minimum, free delivery over $100 and a flat $10 fee under $100.

How long does weed delivery take in Ottawa?
Most orders arrive 30 to 90 minutes after we confirm them by text. The ByWard Market, Lowertown and Sandy Hill are often in the 25 to 40 minute range, while parts of Kanata, Stittsville, Manotick, Greely, Aylmer and Buckingham can take up to 90 minutes.
What is the latest I can order for same-day delivery?
Last orders are at 9 PM and we deliver until 10 PM, every day. If your area has a window that runs up to 90 minutes, order earlier in the evening rather than right at the cut-off.
Why does my neighbourhood take longer than downtown?
Every order leaves our dispatch base on Montréal Road in the east end. Neighbourhoods farther west or south, or across a bridge in Gatineau, simply take longer to reach, and rush hour and weather add time on top.
Do you deliver to Gatineau, and is anything different?
Yes. We cover Hull, the Plateau, the Gatineau sector, Aylmer, Masson-Angers and Buckingham. You must be 21 or older in Québec, and bridge traffic between about 4 and 6 PM on weekdays can push orders toward the end of the window.
Does delivery cost more if I live farther away?
No. The minimum order is $60 everywhere we deliver. Orders over $100 get free delivery, and orders under $100 have a flat $10 fee, whether you are in Vanier or Stittsville.
Can the driver leave my order with the concierge or at the door?
No. The driver has to check valid photo ID in person, so someone who is 19 or older in Ontario, or 21 or older in Québec, needs to meet them.
